mixed reactions from political parties to mtbps

The Economic Freedom Fighters EFF has rejected the first Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement of the 7th administration, saying it advocated for programmes that entrenched racialised apartheid era economic policies.

It says it prioritized profits for the racist private sector over job creation, sustainable development and meaningful growth.

Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana delivered the MTBPS under the Government of National Unity GNU earlier today.

The party says the budget failed to acknowledge the imminent uprising of unemployment and lacked decisive action required to prioritise job creation, infrastructure revitalisation and functional local government.

EFF leader Julius Malema, We reject the budget and what South Africa should actually notice is that is a first neo-liberal budget of the coalition of the DA and the ANC which prioritizes the racialised apartheid style of economic growth and its intention is to continue privatisation of strategic sectors of our economy. How come you have Mid-Term Budget that has got no clear plan on how were going to reduce unemployment. Because the problem of unemployment in SA is very serious.
