Mitrovic Misses Al Hilal Training Due To Irregular Heartbeat

Aleksandar Mitrovic, the former Newcastle United and Fulham striker, missed Al Hilal's training session on Sunday due to an irregular heartbeat, the Saudi club announced.

The 30-year-old Serbian international had only recently returned to action after a long injury layoff, scoring in the Saudi Pro League on Friday. He was expected to feature in Al Hilals crucial second-leg match against Uzbekistans Pakhtakor in the Asian Champions League last 16 on Tuesday.

However, Al Hilal issued a statement confirming that Mitrovic would not participate in Sundays session due to fatigue and arrhythmias. The club added that Mitrovic would be closely monitored by medical specialists.

Al Hilal, four-time winners of Asias premier club competition, are currently trailing 1-0 following the first leg in Uzbekistan.

The striker joined the Riyadh-based club from Fulham in August 2023 for a reported transfer fee of around 50 million euros.
