Missing Mans Body Recovered At Hartbeespoort Dam: Nsri

The body of a missing man who fell from a boat at Hartbeespoort Dam on Sunday has been recovered. The National Sea Rescue Institute NSRI at Hartbeespoort Dam says they received a report from local children who saw the 30-year-old man fall from his boat near Eagles Landing, Pecanwood Estate.

Spokesperson Craig Lambinon says an inquest docket has been opened.

During ongoing search operations on Tuesday morning police divers, assisted by NSRI Hartbeespoort Dam, Hartbeespoort SRU Strategic Rescue Unit, and Hartbeespoort marine law enforcement, located and recovered the body of a local 36-year-old man who had gone missing after falling out of his boat on Hartbeespoort dam late on Sunday afternoon. The body of the deceased man has been taken into the care of police and government health forensic pathology services. police have opened an inquest docket, Lambinon says.
