Milnerton Stabbing Suspect Faces Court

On Wednesday afternoon, a suspect attacked multiple individuals in Milnerton, stabbing them with a sharp object. The accused appeared in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on Friday, facing a series of charges.
Police spokesperson Anelisiwe Manyana reported that the suspect began by stabbing unsuspecting victims in Milnerton, then moved to Bosmandam where he attacked another person. Afterward, the victim managed to reach the police station and report the assault, prompting a swift arrest. Initially, the suspect was charged with attempted murder, assault with intent to cause serious harm, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The stabbing spree started at approximately 2:30 PM outside Cash Crusaders at Centre Point Shopping Centre, where the suspect injured a person. He then continued to Koeberg Road, attacking additional victims, some of whom were severely wounded.
Later, the suspect confronted an employee at West Coast Fisheries and Gallo Portuguese, assaulting them after being asked to leave the store entrance.
One victim managed to run to the Milnerton police station for assistance, and the police quickly apprehended the suspect. According to the Milnerton Crime Watch Trust and West Coast Fisheries, some victims have died from their injuries, while others remain in critical condition in the hospital.
