The Middle Belt Youth Forum, MBYF, the youth wing of the Middle Belt Forum, MBF, has denounced proponents of Arewa Republic and distanced the people of the geopolitical zone from the idea.
The MBYF in a statement by its Leader, Capt. Brent Kane, made available to newsmen in Makurdi described concept as laughable and irrational.
He emphasised that the people of the Middle Belt geopolitical zone believe in the unity and oneness of Nigeria and would not allow anyone or group of persons drag the people of the zone into any ungodly and unholy alliance.
In this delusional imagination of theirs, they grouped the entire 19 states in northern Nigeria into a monolithic entity which they have so named the Republic of Arewa.
