Miami Heat Owner Micky Arison, South Florida Native Sylvia Fowles Make Basketball Hall Of Fame

Two South Florida sports legends are headed to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
Micky Arison, the managing general partner of the Miami Heat, and South Florida native and WNBA star Sylvia Fowles were selected as inductees on Saturday.
They join greats like Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard in being chosen Saturday.
The Israeli-born Arison, 75, has owned the Heat since 1995. His father, Ted Arison, brought the team to Miami in 1988.
The billionaire businessman, who is the chairman of Miami-based Carnival Corporation, has also been noted for his philanthropic endeavors in South Florida.
