Metro Fm Music Awards 2025 Nominees Announced: Here's The Full List

The Metro FM Music Awards nominees for 2025 were announced at a glitzy event on Thursday evening 27 February that featured some electrifying live performances.

Zola Mhlongo and Siphesihle Vazi were excellent as hosts. Artists who performed included Mawelele, Naledi Aphiwe, Usimamane, Woodlock DJs and Nkosazana Daughter.

Nominees for the coveted Artist of the Year award were Tyler ICU, Kabza De Small , Morda, Makhadzi and Kelvin Momo.

Xolly Mncwango, DBN Gogo, Babalwa M, Nontokozo Mkhize and Makhadzi will vie for Best Female Artist, while Usimamane, Dlala Thukzin, Kabza De Small, Kelvin Momo and Tyler ICU will battle it out for Best Male Artist.

Competition for Song of the Year will be stiff with 10 hits in contention. They include Sdakiwe Sbali , Number 1 , Skuta Baba Remix , Yebo Lapho Gogo , Biri Marung , Funk 99 , Wishi Wishi , MKK , Ndisize and Kweland 2.0 .

The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3 May 2025 at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga. In the meantime, fans can vote for their favourite artists, songs, albums and music videos by dialling the USSD code 12045787 and following the prompts.
