Meta has introduced a suite of AI-powered enhancements to WhatsApp, enabling users to engage in real-time conversations with an AI chatbot, edit photos on demand, and receive more intelligent responses, reports Cape {town} Etc .
Meta unveiled these new AI-powered features for Meta AI on WhatsApp at the Meta Connect event on Thursday.
Among Metas new features, the standout is Meta AIs voice mode, which lets users have real-time conversations with the AI chatbot, much like ChatGPTs voice feature.
Though previously seen in WhatsApp's beta version, this voice mode is now widely available for the first time.
- Talk to me : WhatsApp users can now talk to Meta AI by pressing the waveform button. Meta also plans to introduce celebrity voices like Awkwafina, Judi Dench, John Cena, and more.
- Look at this : Meta AI can now analyze image inputs and answer related questions. For instance, users can send a picture of a dish and ask for the recipe.
- Edit my photo : Beyond ChatGPT's features, WhatsApp now lets users share photos with Meta AI and request edits. Meta AI will now be able to remove unwanted people from the image, change the background or colour of an object, and more.
