Mengo Sought Intervention From Judges Over Mbenenge's Advances

The Judicial Conduct Tribunal probing sexual harassment allegations against Eastern Cape Judge President Selby Mbenenge will continue to hear evidence from the complainant Judges Secretary, Andiswa Mengo.

Mengo has accused Mbenenge of sexual harassment in the form of in-person interaction and electronic interaction between June 2021 and November 2022.

Yesterday, Mengo testified that prior to lodging a formal complaint, she proposed a roundtable with other judges to address the Judge President and stop the alleged advances and seek the judges intervention.

She says, I wanted these judges whose presence I had requested to intervene and to also hear these things that were being done by the JP Judge President.
