The two men accused of killing nine people in a mass shooting at a local tavern in Pienaar are expected to apply for bail at the Kabokweni Court, near White River, Mpumalanga.

Six people were fatally wounded and others succumbed to their injuries in hospital.

The two accused, Bongani Nkosi and Mduduzi Lubisi, had previously abandoned their bail application when they were informed of an additional count of murder following the death of the ninth victim.

The pair is facing nine counts of murder, attempted murder and possession of unlicensed firearms.
