Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, City of Tshwane and Members of the Executive Council are later today expected to host a memorial service for the six community patrollers who were killed at the Marry Me informal settlement in Soshanguve , north of Pretoria at the weekend.

The officials along with the community will gather at the Marry Me open ground for the memorial service and hold a Community Imbizo afterwards.

The meeting will serve as a platform for residents to address challenges affecting their neighbourhood.

One of the issues that the residents recently raised is the mistrust between police and the community, with claims that police vehicles get stoned when they visit the area.

Residents have said that has resulted in poor services from the Soshanguve police station.
