Memorial Service Held For Fallen Sandf Soldiers From Free State
Three fallen soldiers from Free State who perished in the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC have been commended for sacrifices they made for the country.
A memorial service of the three soldiers was held at Tempe Military Base in Bloemfontein. Families and friends say they will remember them for their commitment and sacrifices.
Staff Sergeant Ishmael Molahlehi, Riflemen Mokete Mobe and Tshidiso Mabele were three of the 14 SANDF soldiers killed in the conflict-ridden Democratic Republic of Congo.
Colonel Henry Gordon says the army has lost dedicated soldiers.
It was not easy but at the end of the day as I have indicated, I encourage them, they need to pick up their spears in order to move forward in order to continue, in order to ensure that we serve as patriotic citizens specifically to ensure that we protect the territorial integrity of the country.
