Mchunu Attends Bail Hearing Of Accused In Eye-gouging Case

Public order police have been deployed at the Richmond Magistrates Court in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands ahead of a bail application of a man accused of attacking his ex-girlfriend and gouged both her eyes using a screwdriver.

The man is also accused of attacking the victims mother.

The incident took place two weeks ago at Maswazini area of Richmond.

The accused was later traced and arrested.

Meanwhile,Police minister Senzo Mchunu is expected to attend the court proceedings.
