South African world-renowned fashion brand Maxhosa Africa is returning to Paris Fashion Week this season.
Maxhosa, who has showcased on several international platforms, including New York Fashion Week, is back this September as the only African designer on the Paris Fashion Week calendar.
This season, Maxhosa will be unveiling its Maxhonassaince collection inspired by renaissance art to explore the rebirth of Africa.
Imbuing the opulence and exuberance of renaissance art with an African perspective, the collection features jewel tones, florals and crowns, as well as excessive adornment while still bearing the patterns iconic to MaXhosa Africas house style.
We cannot forget patterns as they are the DNA of MaXhosa, which is what our ancestors left for us, said MaXhosa Africa chief creative director Laduma Ngxokolo.
