The Police Ministry and the SAPS have offered a cash reward of up to R100 000 in order to track down the criminals guilty for the brutal murder of a 64-year-old woman in Kraaifontein a week ago, Cape {town} Etc reports.

At around 7:30pm on Tuesday, a 64-year-old woman was shot and died on the corner of Maroela and Ntongabini Streets in Wallacedene, Kraaifontein.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Malcom Pojie said that according to preliminary evidence, two suspects approached the victim with the intention of purchasing meat from her.

'They allegedly followed the victim inside her shanty, where she was fatally shot in the head. The accused then fled the area on foot and have since avoided arrest. Tracking and tracing activities are among the initiatives used by police to locate suspects.

Pojie stated that a reward of up to R100 000 is being offered for information that could lead to the perpetrators arrest and successful prosecution. 'The suspects have been identified as Siyabonga Kholakele (29), and Yanele Mangweni (32).'
