Mashatile Calls On Traditional Leaders To Empower Communities

Deputy President Paul Mashatile has encouraged traditional leaders to be involved in programmes that will empower their communities.

Mashatile was addressing the community of KwaMpumuza in Pietermaritzburg, at a matric excellence awards ceremony that recognises the academic achievements of the class of 2024 in the area.

Mashatile has appealed to parents to work closer with schools.

This is what we believe Amakhosi should do for their people and as government we will continue to support their programs where we can and work together with them to benefit our people and as government we will always be there to support you and work with you.

Meanwhile Chief Khethokuhle Zondi of the KwaMpumuza Transitional Council says traditional leaders are working to support schools and fight against social ills in the area.
