Marmoush Hails Amazing Debut
Manchester Citys new signing Omar Marmoush has described his debut as amazing following the teams 3-1 victory over Chelsea. The Egyptian forward, whose transfer was confirmed just two days prior to the match, was immediately named in the starting lineup at the Etihad Stadium.
Despite a challenging start that saw Chelsea get ahead in the third minute, City fought back with goals from Josko Gvardiol before the break, and Erling Haaland and Phil Foden in the second half to secure the win. Marmoush played 74 minutes before being substituted for Kevin De Bruyne.
During his time on the pitch, he showed flashes of brilliance, including a disallowed goal in the first half due to an offside decision. His performance left a positive impression on both teammates and his manager. "Yeah, it was an amazing debut," Marmoush said in his post-match interview. "I'm really happy to be here. The debut was really, really nice.
He added, "We won the game, and it was a crazy atmosphere out there. I'm so happy to be here. Hopefully I will keep going that way. It is just the beginning, and here's to many more wins." Marmoush will not be available for the Citizens next game in the Champions League, but the Egyptian will be expected to start in next weeks Premier League fixture in another big game against Arsenal.
