Mapisa-nqakula Corruption Case Resumes

Former National Assembly Speaker, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula , will be back in the Pretoria High Court today for her corruption case.

Mapisa-Nqakula is facing 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering which are alleged to have occurred during her tenure as minister of defence.

She served as the minister between 2012 and 2021 before being appointed as National Assembly Speaker.

Her case follows a postponement in October to allow counsel to bring a substantive application before the court.

Her defence has requested the disclosure of section B and C of her docket. Section B and C, entails correspondence and the investigation diary.
