Manchester United Sack Erik Ten Hag, Search For New Head Coach Begins

Erik ten Hag has parted ways with Manchester United, having been dismissed from his managerial position.

He received the news on Monday morning, concluding a two-and-a-half-year tenure at the club.

His final match in charge was a disappointing 2-1 Premier League defeat against West Ham United on Sunday, which left the team in 14th place in the league standings.

With just three wins from nine league games and only four victories in 14 matches across all competitions this season, the club finds itself seven points behind the Champions League qualification spots.

Ruud van Nistlerooy, who was brought in ahead of the season as Ten Hag's assistant, will take charge of first team duties as interim head coach.
