Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has lambasted Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos for interfering in his clubs coaching affairs. Mngqithi says the Belgian must focus on his own team and stop trying to subscribe to clubs on how to run their affairs. The Sundowns coach says he will try and arrange a meeting with the Bafana Bafana mentor to try and iron their differences.
Two key Bafana Bafana players, Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau, have not had regular game time at Mamelodi Sundowns since the start of the season.
Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos had questioned the non-inclusion of his two key players at club level.
Mokoena and Mudau both played a key role when Bafana Bafana finished third and won a bronze medal in this years Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast. However, Mngqithi has warned the Bafana Bafana mentor to refrain from interfering in Mamelodi Sundowns affairs.
"Hugo Broos must manage his house, and I will manage mine. No one tells him who to play at Bafana Bafana, and no one should tell me who to play at Mamelodi Sundowns. We all know the potential of the two players Teboho Mokoena and Khuliso Mudau. No one says anything when he plays eight defenders, he must give me a call so that we can discuss this thing as coaches. Ive got great respect for him, he helped us win bronze at the Afcon," says Mnqithi.
