Man Utd's Harry Maguire Banned From Driving For Speeding Offences
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been banned from driving for 56 days and fined 1,052 after being caught speeding twice in three days.
The 31-year-old was recorded driving his Range Rover at 85mph in a 50mph zone on Wilmslow Road, near Manchester Airport, in March 2024. Bolton Magistrates Court heard that Maguire pleaded guilty to the offence.
His solicitor, Gwyn Lewis, admitted the speed was wholly excessive. Maguire had already accumulated three penalty points on his license from a 2021 offence and received another three points two days after the March incident.
Maguire was offered a speed awareness course but was unable to attend due to being out of the country. The court fined him 666, alongside 120 in costs and a 266 surcharge.
