Police arrested a man on an attempted murder charge Friday after accusing him of stabbing another man multiple times following a "disagreement" in Hialeah.

According to Hialeah police, the stabbing happened at around 11:20 Wednesday morning at the Exxon gas station at 801 E. 25th St., just east of Hialeah Hospital.

Police said William Gregory Rodriguez, 36, of Lehigh Acres, had first tried to stab the victim with a kitchen knife three hours earlier following a fistfight after the unspecified "disagreement." They said the victim was able to disarm him and got away.

Authorities said Rodriguez went looking for the victim, first pulling up on his scooter to a food store next to the Exxon, then finding him at the gas station.

An arrest report states that Rodriguez began running towards the victim and another man "without provocation."
