South African Premier Soccer League PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns are in for a hefty R174 million paycheck just for participating at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

This is the minimum they will earn, as they will get more if they win or draw in the group stages and if they advance to the quarterfinals onwards.

FIFA confirmed the distribution model for the tourney in a news release on Wednesday 26 March. It includes 1 billion prize money for the 32 participants.

The potential payout for the winners could be 125 million. FIFA pledged to distribute all revenues from this years Club World Cup tournament to club football and not retain funding for itself.

The distribution model for the 1 billion prize money consists of:
