Residents of Mamelodi, north-east of Pretoria, are appealing to government to expedite the completion of the new magistrates court in their township.
The unfinished building has raised many questions among residents, who are wondering what the next step for the project is.
The project was reportedly stalled after local construction mafias operating around Pretoria violently stopped work on the building.
New Public Works Minister Dean Macpherson has also raised concerns about the unfinished project.
The new Mamelodi Magistrates Court was built to provide effective judiciary services in the township and the surrounding areas. But 10 years after construction started, the structure remains incomplete with no sign of progress.
