Malema To Musk: 'if Fighting For My People Makes Me A Criminal, So Be It'
Leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters EFF, Julius Malema, has responded to South African-born tech billionaire Elon Musks calls for him to be declared an international criminal by saying that he is happy to embrace the label.
The dispute stems from a video in which Malema criticised the Democratic Alliance DA for supporting only white leaders, leading Musk to accuse him of inciting genocide against white South Africans.
The billionaire also reignited controversy by sharing old clips of Malema's remarks about cutting the throat of whiteness and called for immediate sanctions against him, urging that the former ANC Youth League leader be labelled an international criminal.
Immediate sanctions for Malema and declaration of him as an international criminal!, Musk said on X.
Malema rejected the accusations, comparing himself to Nelson Mandela, who was once branded an international criminal for fighting for his peoples rights.
