Malema, Co-accuseds Firearm Case Postponed Until 23 January

The firearm discharge case against Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader Julius Malema and co-accused Adriaan Snyman has been postponed to 23 January at the East London Regional Court for the continuation of the closing argument by Malema and Snymans defence.

Prosecutor Joel Cesar concluded his closing arguments, telling the court that Malemas testimony was untruthful and misleading.

He, however, conceded in court that he may not have done enough to overwhelmingly please the court about the charges leveled against accused number two, Adriaan Snyman .

He told the court that the state had failed to authenticate the video footage it used.

The state added a charge of accessory - alleging that Snyman tampered with the rifle used by Malema on the night.
