Magesi Fc Set Eyes On Another Trophy
Magesi F.C. assistant coach Papi Zothwane has stated that the team is determined to make more history in their debut season in South Africa's top-flight football. The Limpopo-based club is now aiming for a second trophy in quick succession, having won the Carling Knockout Cup just last month.
Magesi will next face the Carling All Stars Eleven in an attempt to add the Carling Black Label Cup to their collection. The match is set to take place on December 23 at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
The team, riding high after their promotion to the premiership, has been making waves. They made an impressive statement by defeating the heavy favorites Orlando Pirates in their own stadium during the first round of the Carling Knockout Cup. They then triumphed over perennial premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the final on November 23 in Bloemfontein.
Zothwane expressed the team's focus on securing a second trophy, the Carling Black Label Cup, in their remarkable debut season, where they will face the All Stars Eleven, a team selected by football supporters.
