Mabopane Residents Urge Municipality To Address Sewage Spillages

Some residents from different parts of Mabopane north of Pretoria have called on the Tshwane Municipality to urgently intervene and address sewage spillages .

The municipality has been blamed for rarely attending to these problems, with residents saying solutions are always temporary.

These residents say this issue has affected their health, I am from the clinic because of TB, I took the whole treatment for six months and now I am fine but because of this drainage spillage it's like it is going to start again. Sewer has damaged infrastructure in our area, roads are now dammed and unpassable. Our toilet is spitting out sewerage so we always go to our neighbours to relieve ourselves."
