Lootlove And Scoop Makhathini To Host Metro Fm Music Awards 2025

Luthando Lootlove Shosha and Siyabonga Ngwekazi, popularly known as Scoop Makhathini, will be the main stage hosts for the 2025 Metro FM Music Awards MMAs.

The radio station announced the lineup of hosts in a media statement on Friday 11 April.

The highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, 3 May 2025 at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga starting at 20:00. SABC 1 will broadcast it live along with a streaming option on SABC Plus.

LootLove, who co-hosts Metro FM 's afternoon drive show, The Touch Down , said she is honoured to be entrusted with this role once again.

"The MMAs 2024 were a truly monumental and unforgettable experience for me. I'm beyond excited to share the stage with none other than my homeboy, Siyabonga Ngwekazi. I'm looking forward to an incredible night celebrating the very best of South African music talent," she added.

TV presenter, writer and cultural commentator Makhathini is similarly looking forward to hosting this years awards.

As a passionate advocate for creativity and the music industry, I believe South African artists deserve regular recognition. I'm thrilled to collaborate with Luthando for the first time, and I'm grateful to Metro FM for providing a platform for us to showcase our skills and talents, he said.

The Hustler Fix presenter Anele Zondo and Mpumi Mlambo will host the Black Carpet. Top 30 host Dineo Ranaka and hip-hop star Thato Madonsela aka L-Tido will interview winners in the Green Room.

There will be two main events in one night - the awards and the music festival. Artists such as Master KG, Black Motion, K.O and Zee Nxumalo will perform at the festival.
