Lootberg Pass Snowfall May Cause Road Closure: Ec Transport Dept

Snowfall at Lootberg Pass on the N9 near Graaf Reinet in the Eastern Cape may cause road closure.

The Wapadsberg pass between Graaf Reinet and Nxuba has also been affected. This as extreme inclement weather conditions persist across the province.

The authorities have advised motorists to be cautious.

Rapid Response Teams remain on high alert.

Provincial Transport spokesperson Unathi Binqose says the weather poses a risk to road infrastructure.
