Limpopo Spaza Shop Owners Urged To Register As Deadline Looms

The authorities in Limpopo have urged spaza shop owners that have not yet registered their businesses to finalise their applications as the deadline looms.

Spaza shop owners have one week left before the February 28 deadline.

In Limpopo, more than 480 applications received so far are from foreign nationals . More than 4 400 other applications have been finalised since the start of the registration process in the province.

Provincial Economic Development Department spokesperson Zaid Kalla says, The Department would like to remind all those interested in operating a spaza shop that the registration processes will be coming to an end on the 28th of February 2025. We encourage our people to utilize the remaining week applying for spaza shop business license or permit, it will be highly displeasing to see unregistered owners within such a lucrative sector having to close shop due to non-compliance.
