The African National Congress ANC in Limpopo has expressed sadness on the passing of former Labour, Finance Minister and Reserve Bank Governor Tito Mboweni . Mboweni died at the age of 65 at a Johannesburg hospital following a short illness on Saturday evening.
His funeral arrangements are currently under way at Sasekani village outside Tzaneen.
The funeral will take place on Saturday.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared Mbowenis funeral a Special Official Funeral Category 2 in Mbowenis honour.
Party Spokesperson Jimmy Machaka says Mboweni is being remembered as a disciplined party member.
