The Mpumalanga Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC Leah Mabuz a says they are going to use the artistic drawings of renowned Ndebele artist Dr Esther Mahlangu on the columns of their new libraries in honour of her work.
Mabuza attended an event where an art studio was handed over to Mahlangu at her home in Kwa-Ndebele.
Mabuza urges the Mpumalanga community to enter the art space to benefit the Ndebele nation.
As the department we are going to build three libraries, one in Nkangala, the other in Gert, also in Ehlanzeni. In these three libraries, we want the columns of the architectural designs to have Gogo Mahlangus drawing so that her arts can be everywhere in Mpumalanga.
