Level 2 Severe Thunderstorms Warning Issued For Kwazulu-natal
The South African Weather Service has issued two weather alerts for KwaZulu-Natal. A yellow level 2 warning has been issued for disruptive rain , which may cause damage to infrastructure, expected along the coastal and adjacent interior areas from tomorrow morning.
Additionally, a level 2 warning has been issued for severe thunderstorms over the western parts of the province from Wednesday afternoon.
Yellow level two warnings are those where there is a high likelihood of an event but where there is expected to be a minor impact.
"From tomorrow, we have a yellow level 2 warning for disruptive rain in areas along the coast and adjacent interior. Just to name a few, it will be over Ugu,eThekwini and Ilembe and were expecting those rains to persist until tomorrow afternoon. And then for tomorrow, we have a yellow level 2 for severe thunderstorm over the western part of the province in the afternoon. That warning will affect Uthukela, Amajuba, Harry Gwala and the Western parts of Umgungundlovu," says Weather forecaster, Ayanda Nsele.
