Lebanons Health Minister Firass Abiad reported that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes on Monday has reached 274, including 21 children, marking the deadliest daily toll in almost a year of cross-border conflicts.
Abiad informed the press that the current count of casualties is 274 dead, including 21 children and 39 women - based on the information available so far, adding that thousands of families from the affected areas have been forced to flee.
Abiad disclosed that 1,024 individuals injured in the attacks received treatment in 27 hospitals.
Following the explosion of Hezbollah pagers and walkie-talkies and an Israeli strike on Beiruts southern suburbs, approximately 5,000 people have been wounded in less than a week as a result of Israeli attacks.
This total represents about half of the overall count of wounded individuals, which stands at 10,000 to 11,000 over the course of nearly a year of cross-border confrontations between the Iran-backed Hezbollah group and Israel following the outbreak of the Gaza war .
