Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, has called on all South African citizens to show their support for the newly launched South African Chapter of the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
The launch took place on Thursday night at Freedom Park, Tshwane. The movements goal is to lay the groundwork for a Global Anti-Apartheid Movement that aims to hold Israel accountable for its actions against the Palestinian people.
During the event, Lamola urged South Africans to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian cause. He emphasized the significance of this movement for both South Africans and the global community. Lamola also expressed his support for the movement, saying, This movement becomes very important for the people here in South Africa to mobilize, but also for the people of the world and the solidarity for the people of Palestine. And I want to congratulate the anti-apartheid movement here in South Africa for this bold step you are taking.
