Sevilla manager, Garcia Pimienta has revealed the reason behind his decision to bench Kelechi Iheanacho in Monday nights thrilling 1-1 draw at Osasuna.
Iheanacho was left on the bench for 90 minutes in the keenly contested encounter.
The 28-year-old was expected to make an appearance in the game but Sambi Lokonga and Lucien Agoumes injury forced Pimienta to change his mind.
I would have liked to have everyone available. I would have brought on more players if I could have. Kelechi couldnt come on because of Lokongas discomfort and Agoume had to do so, Pimienta said after the game.
Saul is a very experienced player. He came to help and contribute important things. He has had a very good recovery process and played a good game in a situation that was not easy.
