Former Brazil star Rivaldo has opened up about how ex-Barcelona coach Louis van Gaal tried to embarrass him.

Rivaldo played for Barcelona between 1997 and 2002. During this period, the World Cup winner scored 130 goals and provided 46 assists in 235 outings across competitions.

Van Gaal was Rivaldos manager during his first stint at Barcelona between 1997 and 2000.

With Van Gaal as Barca manager, Rivaldo contributed 80 goals and 29 assists in 149 outings across competitions.

However, things were not always smooth between Rivaldo and Van Gaal.
