Kzn Midlands Reports Record Festive Season Tourism

Tourism authorities in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands region say the festive season has been a huge success. They have seen an unprecedented surge in tourism, with hotels and accommodation establishments operating at full occupancy throughout the season.

Adding that the strong demand underscores the growing popularity of the area as a sought-after destination for both local and international travellers.

The Midlands, a picturesque region in KwaZulu-Natal, is nestled between the Drakensberg mountains to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east.

The Midlands Meander is a collection of arranged tourist routes in the region that offers breathtaking landscapes, outstanding accommodation, renowned restaurants, adventure activities and unique art and craft galleries, amongst a host of other activities.

The local tourism sector says the festive season period has significantly stimulated the growth of establishments, which have been fully booked since the start of December.
