Kzn, Gauteng Anc Leadership To Be Reconfigured: Nec Resolution

The African National Congress ANC provincial executive committees in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng will be reconfigured within the parameters of the ANC constitution. This comes as the president of the ANC Cyril Ramaphosa gave the closing remarks at the end of the two-day ANC NEC this weekend.

Following a dismal performance from the two provinces at the General elections in May last year, the NEC has resolved that the leadership of the two provinces will be changed.

The party held its two-day ordinary NEC meeting this weekend to further deliberate on whether to forge ahead with disbanding the two provinces structures due to their poor performances at the polls last year.

Previously, the party made it clear that there must be accountability for its dismal performance at the 2024 polls.

The party has vowed that it cannot be business as usual after the election performance which saw the ANC losing power.
