Kimberley Man Found Guilty Of Rape, Murder Of Minor

The Northern Cape High Court has found 27-year-old Itumeleng Machabe guilty of the murder of an 11-year-old minor who was kidnapped and raped in Kimberley in 2022.

Relebogile Segami was killed and her body was dumped by Machabe behind the provincial legislature.

The convict has been in custody since his arrest in 2022.

Judge Cecile Williams will hand down his sentence next Tuesday.

Relebogiles father, Kagisho Segami, says he hopes that Machabe will be sentenced to many years behind bars.
