The town of Keimoes in the Northern Cape is deeply mourning the loss of 10 beloved locals who were among the victims of a tragic bus crash on Vanrhyns Pass in the Western Cape on Monday, Cape {town} Etc reports.
The workers, who had just enjoyed a weekend with their families, were heading back to their jobs at the Scatec solar farm in Ceres.
Their bus, operated by TP Williams Vervoer, experienced a tyre blowout, causing it to go off the road and roll down the mountainside.
Cape {town} Etc previously reported that the accident occurred around 5:20pm on the R27 between kilometre marks 37 and 38.
The owner of TP Williams Vervoer speculated that the incident was caused by a driver error.
