Kaizer Jr Reassures Chiefs Fans As Transfer Window Jitters Persist

Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has assured fans that the club is working tirelessly to make the right decisions during the January transfer window.

With just a week left before the window closes, fans are anxious for new signings to strengthen the team, which is having yet another season of inconsistent performances.

Amakhosi are currently fifth on the Betway Premiership log with 21 points from 14 matches. They have won six games, lost five and drawn three this season so far.

They are also nine points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played just 11 games so far. At the current trajectory, Chiefs could go a decade without a trophy.

Kaizer Motaung Jrs vow to fans

With fans keen for player reinforcements this transfer window, Kaizer Jr has sought to reassure them. We want the team to be transparent and speak to the people, he told reporters this week.

Our fans are the most important people and stakeholders, and we respect them. I really want to take away this connotation that the club is not doing anything or does not respect its supporters - they are everything to us. We do everything for them.

It would be foolish for us not to be doing anything this window. Weve got to respect the players that we do have and give them the confidence to be able to do the job on the field, but we are very much aware of the areas that we need to strengthen.

Weve been working tirelessly every day with the technical staff, management and committee to make sure that we make the right decisions.

Motaung Jrs comments echo those of head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who said earlier this month that the club is also working very hard to try and look at different profiles. It's not easy because it's January, but everyone is working very hard.
