Kaizer Chiefs' New Weapon Tashreeq Morris To Miss Soweto Derby

Kaizer Chiefs' new signing Tashreeq Morris will not be available for selection in the highly anticipated Soweto Derby clash against Orlando Pirates at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The 30-year-old Morris was among three new signings confirmed by the club this week, aimed at helping the team reclaim its former glory after a couple of challenging seasons.

Amakhosi said Morris's signing came after the club's head coach Nasreddine Nabi , along with his technical team 'in-depth review and analysis' of his potential.

'This follows an in-depth review and analysis of Morris's potential and skills on the field by Coach Nasreddine Nabi and his technical team, who have recognised the need for an attacker'.

However, he will not feature in the derby as he remains sidelined, serving a suspension stemming from a red card he received in SuperSport United's clash with Sekhukhune United earlier this month.
