Julius Malema Tells Elon Musk To 'go To Hell' After Criminal Remarks
In an explosive response to billionaire Elon Musk , Economic Freedom Fighters EFF leader Julius Malema has firmly rejected Musks recent comments, telling the tech mogul to 'go to hell' after Musk suggested that Malema should be declared an international criminal, Cape town Etc reports.
The spat began after Musk shared old footage of Malema making controversial remarks about 'cutting the throat of whiteness,' a phrase that has sparked significant debate. In his post, Musk called for international sanctions against Malema and for the South African politician to be labelled an international criminal due to his remarks.
Malema wasted no time in responding, accusing Musk of being completely out of touch. In a tweet, he fired back, 'I really think you have entirely lost your left brain. A typical spoiled brat, and a direct beneficiary of apartheid whiteness. I know black people look the same to you, but look closer, and you will realise these are two different people. America is exposing us to its stupidity.'
Malema also made it clear that he would not back down from his principles. 'I don't care about your sanctions I will never stop fighting for black people to be equal to white people. If that makes me an international criminal, I am proud to be one,' he declared.
The ongoing feud is set against the backdrop of growing tensions between the U.S. and South Africa. In recent weeks, former U.S. President Donald Trump has made headlines with decisions aimed at South Africa, including a move to end U.S. funding for HIV/AIDS programs in the country. Trump also prioritised white Afrikaners in South Africa for the U.S. refugee program. These actions, combined with South Africas strong stance on Palestine, have created friction between Pretoria and Washington.
