Jp Smith Responds To Fraud Allegations Following Office Raid

In a post shared to Facebook , Smith provided further information on the raid and allegations of fraud. According to Smith, the information shared is the real version of the truth, Cape town Etc reports.

Smith began the post confirming that SAPS had searched his office earlier today. He further confirmed that a search warrant had been obtained and reiterated his respect for the work of SAPS and the importance of being able to undertake such work without fear, favour or interference.

Before delving into his version of the truth, Smith wrote, Personally, I have always found it disingenuous when people who are the subject of police investigation, claim it is politically motivated. There are many good people in SAPS and the NPA and DOJ who have great integrity and would not allow themselves to be abused for political purposes.

Smith then continued with his response, stating that a few months prior he had been tipped off that certain political actors have been plotting to launch a smear campaign and political hit-squad against him.

In addition, Smith claims that he has received reliable information that senior ANC politicians have been briefed by members within SAPS.
