Jordaan, Co-accused Fail To Have Fraud Case Struck Off The Roll
South African Football Association SAFA President Danny Jordaan and his co-accused have failed in their attempt to have their case struck off the roll.
Jordaan, SAFA Chief Financial Officer Gronie Hluyo and businessman Trevor Neethling appeared before the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court in Palm Ridge on charges of theft and fraud amounting to R1.3 million .
Jordaan and Hluyo applied to have the case struck off the roll, citing unreasonable delays due to other pending matters in the High Court in Pretoria.
Advocate Norman Arendse, representing Jordaan and Hluyo, also sought costs order due to what he described as unreasonable delays in the case.
However, Magistrate Sheron Soko-Rantao dismissed the application, ruling that the court lacked jurisdiction. The case was postponed to 7 February next year.
