Jonathan Gibson Gains 3.29 Million From Stake In Chobe Holdings
Botswana-based businessman Jonathan Gibson has experienced a significant rise in the market value of his stake in Chobe Holdings, driven by a sustained surge in the share price of the Gaborone-based tourism group. This underscores the increasing investor interest in the tourism group listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange BSE .
As the deputy chairman of Chobe Holdings, Gibson owns a 25 percent stake in the company, equivalent to 22,830,977 shares. Since Jan. 1, his investment has gained BWP57.31 million 3.29 million in value, thanks to the double-digit growth in the companys share price. This impressive performance has solidified Gibsons position among the wealthiest investors on the BSE.

Complementing its hospitality ventures, the company also owns Safari Air, a charter airline serving its camps and lodges, as well as North West Air Proprietary Limited, which provides aircraft maintenance services.
The companys shares have risen 16.9 percent year-to-date, climbing from BWP14.85 1.073 on Jan. 1 to BWP17.36 1.254. This surge has pushed its market capitalization above 110 million, delivering substantial returns to its shareholders. Gibsons stake alone has increased from BWP339.04 million 25.33 million at the start of the year to BWP396.35 million 28.62 million.
