Joburg Water To Undergo Planned Maintenance

Johannesburg Water will undergo planned maintenance at the Hector Norris pump station from Friday until next Monday.

The water utility says this is aimed at improving infrastructure for sustainable water supply.

The affected areas include the Johannesburg CBD, Newtown, Jeppestown, Doorfontein and Mellville.

Johannesburg Water Spokesperson Nombuso Shabalala is urging residents to use water sparingly.

Residents will be impacted by low pressure to no water for the duration of the maintenance while alternative water supply will be provided residents are also urged to store water in preparation, says Shabalala.
