South Africas newest Chinese car brand was officially launched at a glitzy event in Sandton City on Friday evening.

The brand, owned by Chery but operating as a separate entity, has hit the ground running with two high-value medium sized SUV products that will hit local showrooms from September 21.

The Jetour Dashing, a five seater with striking looks, is priced at R439,900 in base form, with the Deluxe version coming in at R469,900.

Jetour is also offering a more practical seven seat SUV called The X70 Plus, which is also available in two variants, with the Momentum listed at R454,900 and the Deluxe at R484,900.

In terms of size, the 4,590mm long Dashing is slightly larger than the Chery Tiggo 7 while the 4,749mm X70 Plus has a similar footprint to the Chery Tiggo 8 .
